We’re into the final furlong now as we approach the last few games of the Ligue 1 season. French football has really come into its own since last August with a campaign full of exciting twists and turns at both ends of the table. Now, it’s all a case of seeing who can hold their nerve. They have the ability to spring an upset from time to time but there’s still a lot of work that needs doing to the overall structure of the squad, although it must be said that Will Still has been able to have a really strong impact within the club and he deserves praise for his efforts.
Reims haven’t looked themselves for a while now and away to Clermont Foot, that was on full display as they were outfought and, really, didn’t compete at the level we all know they can. They were beaten and humbled 4-1, and perhaps that’s a sign that they’re on the beach right already.
